Fire Department

The mission of the Pine Island Volunteer Fire Department is the protection and preservation of life and property for the people it serves. It is committed to doing so by providing a vast range of emergency services, strong public relations and fire safety education. We also dedicate ourselves to protect and preserve the health of our members and return them safely to their families.

The Pine Island Fire Department continues our nation’s rich tradition of volunteerism through extensive involvement in the community. We continue our service by assisting and supporting a wide variety of organizations and events. Founded in 1898, the department has continued to grow over the last century, well meeting the changing needs of our fire district. Covering 131 square miles, the firefighters of the Pine Island Fire Department protect the nearly 10,100 residents in the City of Pine Island, and the townships of Milton, New Haven, Oronoco, Pine Island and Roscoe.
